TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The tournament will be a 54 hole Best Ball Stroke Play Competition among teams of four, consisting of a club professional and three of his/her Club amateurs. The amateurs will play to three-quarters (75%) of their handicap of the course they are playing (maximum of 20). In addition, there will be a DAILY TEAM low gross and low net competition. Amateurs will also compete for Closest to the Pin competitions at their respective courses.
Major Prizes will be awarded for Low Net and Low Gross. In the event of a tie for first place in either the Low Net or Low Gross division, first place will be decided by USGA Tie breaking format of Last 9, Last 6, Last 3 etc. from their round at the Mid Ocean Club. A playoff will not be used in the Team competition. In the event of a tie in the Professional Division, a play-off will take place on Wednesday, immediately following play at the course where the majority of ties are situated. This will be announced accordingly. All other ties will be decided by retrogression against the course par.
TOURNAMENT GIFT
The Welcome Gift this year is will be your choice of PRO QUIP Outerwear Apparel. There will be samples in various styles, sizes and colours from which to choose, and the opportunity to try on your size to be sure the correct size will be ordered. Be SURE to attend the Registration and Welcome Reception at CHUBB on Sunday evening from 6-8pm to choose your gift and try it on. Pro Quip will take your particulars, along with your address and your Gift will be shipped to your home. If you choose NOT to come to the Welcome Reception, please ask your PRO to select and provide your contact /address details for shipping purposes
GOLF COURSES REGISTRATION
To ensure that we start on time, we ask that ALL Professionals check in their team at the Golf course. Official scorecards will be provided upon registration.
SCOREBOARDS & DAILY SCORES
Scores will be posted at each golf course for viewing, on the official Goodwill website www.bermudagoodwillgolf.com. Live Scoring will be available at http://www.event-man.net/leaderboard.aspx?cid=217&en=4
Scores will be sent to all hotel concierge as well as printed in the local paper “The Royal Gazette” and on Island Stats, www.islandsstats.com. Please supply your personal email if you wish to receive the results to your personal account.
OFFICIAL SCORECARDS
The Goodwill Committee will produce the “Official Scorecards” which will show the club name and the names of all players with their full and adjusted handicap. The scorecards will already be dotted n the appropriate holes. We ask that the Professional please double check the handicaps on the scorecard BEFORE starting their round. You may notice that the handicap has adjusted depending on the course that you are playing according to the slope of the golf course being played.

TEES
The following tee assignments have been allocated for our Professionals and Amateurs through the duration of the event. Seniors must decide BEFORE the event what tee they prefer to play from and are not permitted to change once 1st round begins.
PROFESSIONALS:
Male – BLUE TEES
Female – WHITE TEES
AMATEURS:
Junior Male – BLUE TEES
Seniors Male 60+ – WHITE TEES
Super Senior Male 80+ – RED TEES
Ladies – RED TEES
YARDAGE DEVICES
PERMITTED: Devices that are used to measure yardage only
NOT PERMITTED: Devices that determine slope or wind speed/direction
CELLULAR PHONES
Please minimize use of cell phones on the course during competitions to emergencies only
HANDICAP/MEDICAL FLAGS
As the majority of the golf courses being played do not permit carts onto the fairways, we ask any individual that has a medical problem requiring the use of the yellow flag to produce a medical certificate at the golf course before play.
COCKTAIL RECEPTIONS & PRIZE PRESENTATION
We kindly ask that all teams participate in the functions that are being hosted by the Bermuda Goodwill Tournament. Daily prizes will be presented to the winning players the following morning prior to their next round, except for Wednesday’s final round when they will be awarded at the Prize Presentation Cocktail reception.
UNCOLLECTED PRIZES
The Bermuda Goodwill is NOT responsible for any unclaimed prizes left behind by teams. If you know that you will be unable to attend any prize giving ceremony we ask that you make arrangements to have your prize or prizes shipped at your expense.
